I have a good friend who is participating in a non-profit organization dedicated to Veterans and families of Veterans in assisting them transitioning back to a life after combat.  The wives of these soldiers put their voices together to tell a story of  lives behind the lines.

These Vets face a new challenge against PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder), TBI (traumatic brain injury) and other difficulties and combat related injuries.

The website states, “We are all in this life together and as we all share similarities, we also know that each individual has their own battle. Together, we want to make a difference and help to make transitions and understanding as smooth as possible for each of you that turn to our organization.”

If you or someone you know would benefit from this website, I encourage you to visit the FamilyOfaVet.com website.

Knowing and having seen first hand what PTSD and TBI can do to a person, there needs to be support for not only the vet but those around them.
