As of this Friday, 843 people have been killed in Juarez,Mexico. Yet the mayor of Juarez is not declaring that Juarez in no longer the most dangerous city. He claims they are fourth place in the country.

How does that even make sense? What difference does it make? Death has become like second nature to the citizens of Juarez. No one is safe. It’s all a question of when and where.  All it takes is that you are in the same restaurant as the intended victims and you will lose your life as well.

More than 5,300 people have been slain in the Juarez area since the start of a war between the Sinaloa and Juarez drug cartels in 2008.  Cartel leaders are fighting for the top position. Their expense? Anything and everywhere.

So now that the mayor is saying that danger is no longer an issue is like spitting in the faces of the ones that lost innocent loved ones. No one has protected them. Not their policeman, not their mayors, and certainly not their government.

Image will not clear over night.  Juarez deserves this title. The government has collapsed for its citizens.

The public safety organization Consejo Ciudadano para la Seguridad Publica y Justicia Penal (Citizen’s Council for Public Security and Penal Justice) stated, “”Juarez deserves the title of most dangerous city in the world not only for its homicide rate but also suffering very high numbers of other violent crimes.”

The Mexican government has deployed thousands of federal police and soldiers to Juarez but the violence has continued and most murders remain unsolved.

There are many opinions on how to solve the problems in Juarez.  Yet, if there is an answer it will be hard to find in Juarez that is so deep in corruption.

We all are aware of the toronado that are ripping through the country. Most famous was Joplin Missouri.  Not only did the tornado leave devastation in its wake, but last time I checked 1100 people were still unaccounted for.

My heart goes out to all those in Joplin and other areas that are facing the after effects of tornado.

I don’t know you but in this world we are all brothers and sisters. You are in my thoughts.

Have you see this sign?

I don’t know how it even got here in my area since this is a predominantly Catholic area. That’s not important. It’s the fact that people are scaring the bejezus out of regular people like me. Not that I actually believe in the so-called Rapture or the fact that it could possibly be the end of the world tomorrow around 6ish.

What bothers me is the after math… you know when I wake up Sunday morning after suffering the worst pagan headache hangover known to man and find that the world is just the same as it always was.

And all the people who preached, scolded you, tried to drag you to church, wasted all their time at church, and even their life savings in believing something so outlandish. Those nut jobs might freak the heck out! Where is the bomb shelter for that disaster?

How do you think this NYC man is gonna feel?

This 60-year-old  man is so sure the world will end on May 21, he has spent his retirement savings to warn people about it. He spent $140,000 for an ad campaign for signs on subway cars and bus shelters around the city reading “Global Earthquake! The Greatest Ever – Judgment Day: May 21.”

I want to smack myself!

Do you think Harold Camping will go into hiding? He is the one making the crazy prediction of the second coming!!!

Hell yeah its bewildering!

Notice how they got all hungry when destruction and death is described!

I feel bad for the young couple. They left their jobs!!!

It bothers me that people can believe in something so much…. so much. How will they handle this when it doesn’t happen?

These people are scaring me more than the actual message!

I am now calling all these people doomtards!

The Truth that Maybe Politicians Wouldn’t Ever Admit

The Truth that Maybe Politicians Wouldn’t Ever Admit

It’s been a stressful time for Arnold Schwarzenegger’s personal life lately.

Not only did his wife, Maria Shriver and him recently announced their separation after 25 years, the former California governor recently admitted that he indeed fathered a “love child” with a former staffer 10 years ago.

He isn’t the only politician or VIP that has had outside relations outside of their marriage even fathering children. Rev. Jesse Jackson admitted in 2001 that he had fathered an illegitimate 20 month old daughter. Jackson was married and had five children.

In 2009, Citigroup CEO Richard Parsons had his hands full, working to keep the financial giant afloat during the nation’s economic crisis. It turns out his private life wasn’t. In 2009, Citigroup CEO Richard Parsons had his hands full, working to keep the financial giant afloat during the nation’s economic crisis. It turns out his private life wasn’t any easier: The former Time Warner chairman and father of three grown children had recently fathered an out-of-wedlock child. Up until that time, he had an unblemished reputation.

At first, former Sen. John Edwards vehemently denied fathering former campaign videographer Rielle Hunter’s daughter. He even gave a statement claiming, “I am and have been willing to take any test necessary to establish the fact that I am not the father of any baby, and I am truly hopeful that a test will be done so this fact can be definitively established.”

Well, the test was taken… and it didn’t lie. Edwards did, in fact, father Frances Quinn Hunter. Covering his tracks, Edwards apologized: “It was wrong for me ever to deny she was my daughter and hopefully one day, when she understands, she will forgive me.”

Why are these leaders, that are supposed to hold such outstanding morals and family values, coming out as frauds?

The truth always comes out. It always does. It really doesn’t matter how much power you have or assistance in lying and to keep the truth covered. That power also works as negative because there are people out there that want to gain something out of it. They will exploit whatever they can for money or power.

Nevertheless, this would not be a problem if VIP’s would not just keep it in their pants, but actually believe the values they preach hold true. Instead, they let their money, power, social status go their head and feel they are without limit or power. They feel they can do whatever they want.

It’s the game we play when trusting in imperfect people. Even as we know this, we still need to continue to hold their accountable for their actions. I would never put anyone in office that professes in family values and putting our children first if they themselves do not do that.

I also feel it says a lot of a person who chooses not to cheat on their wives. I also feel those that do are weak and are grasping for a power that does not exist. Politicians need to realize more so that they are the voice of the people.

I sure as hell don’t want my voice to preach of deceit and scandal!

Mother with Cancer Denied Custody of Children

After I read this story, I wondered what you all thought especially since many of you all are mothers.

Above all other things, the best interest is always with the kids. And who is to say how much time the mother really has. However, do you feel the judge is being somewhat sensitive at all to the mother and her children?

I have to say the father isn’t really showing any concern for the children and their interests in their mother. Doesn’t that count for anything?!

Whar are your thoughts?

The Day After Osama Bin Laden’s Death

The Day After Osama Bin Laden’s Death

Thanks to Twitter I found out about Osama Bin Laden’s death. As soon as I read the tweet, I reconfirmed with turning the TV to the news stations. Yes, Osama had been killed.

Reactions?

Mine aren’t that important. I did nothing but tweet how happy the man who was responsible for the 9-11 tragedies was dead.  People over the internet rejoiced. People flocked to the nation’s capitol and the Ground Zero sight to celebrate.

Then the next day it came to my attention that people had a problem with the way people reacted. Someone said it angered them that “people were celebrating like its was the world series and their favorite team had just won.”

Some evil were appalled that we were such a haughty country. Haughty and ignorant. That we were no better than our enemies who celebrated when we were hurting.

Really? Do know what I find detestable? That another country planned for years how to infiltrate our system, they went over a plan that would kill innocent people in the air planes they would take over and the World Trade Center buildings they would take down.  Buildings that were full of mothers, fathers, children, sisters, brothers, grandparents. Then this country convinced its own people to kill us at all cost ever sacrificing themselves.

9-11 was one of the moments in history where you will forever remember where you were. It will be the moment you worried for people you knew and didn’t know. It will be the moment where your security and safety was jeopardized.

Then we went to war in search for the man responsible and all terrorists like him who promoted this radical idea that we were somehow the enemy.  And we lost millions of more lives.

In 2001 I was in high school. In 2011 I am a married woman with kids. Yes it was long over due! However, I celebrated the way that I could and I didn’t question anyone else’s because we all were affected by this. And we all suffered in some way or another.

To take away someone else’s belief and feeling is stupid. To question it is also stupid.

I would never question the widow whose husband was on one of those hijacked planes. Or the army wife whose husband died in Iraq trying to stop terrorists.  What higher standard of life are you trying to communicate?

The higher standard of life I am trying to communicate is one where my children know that we live in a hopeful and wonderful country. A country that believes so much in the idea of freedom that we are willing to fight for that freedom. That way they can be a doctor, a wiccan, lawyer, a catholic, a teacher, a democrat. Whatever.

Sometimes we have to go to war and sometimes we have to do what is absolutely necessary to protect ourselves. However, rejoicing for a horrible man with horrible views on life toward his fellow-man, women, children and even in life in general that was killed should not be pitied. In fact, we should be able to stand in line and throw stones at the bastard!

So everyone who disagreed with the reactions of the those celebrating out loud,  I feel sorry for you. It must be hard to walk with that giant stick up your ass.
